Six research categories you can follow

Each category describes a general kind of study. Following a category is about staying informed, not about qualifying.
01

Healthy Volunteer Studies

Studies that invite people without a specific condition to take part, often to help researchers understand typical responses.

What to expect: Listings usually describe the visit schedule, the time each visit takes, and what kinds of simple activities are involved.

02

Observational Studies

Researchers watch and record information over time without assigning a specific intervention.

What to expect: These often involve surveys, check-ins, or routine measurements spread across weeks or months.

03

Interventional Studies

Participants are assigned to a defined activity, product, or approach so researchers can compare results.

What to expect: Listings typically explain study phases, how groups are assigned, and how long participation may last.

04

Behavioral Studies

Research into habits, routines, sleep, learning, or decision making.

What to expect: Many involve questionnaires, app based tasks, or short sessions, and some can be completed remotely.

05

Prevention Studies

Research that explores ways to help people stay well before a concern develops.

What to expect: These may include lifestyle approaches, education programs, or longer follow-up periods.

06

Device Studies

Studies that look at how people use or respond to wearable or handheld devices.

What to expect: Listings often describe how long a device is worn or used and how data is collected.
